After breakfast, Grandma Pam and Caleb came to visit us. They are in town from Idaho and stopped by on their way to Vegas. We always love to have visits from them. Pam brought the kids a bug net and magnifying glasses, a bug cage, some little buggy eggs with candy inside, bug window gels, and a book. They loved all the toys. Harvey carried that bug net around all day, and was absolutely delighted when he found an ant to put him his bug cage this afternoon. He picked it up so excitedly, that he accidently killed it. We didn't tell him it was dead.
Pam was heading south on the freeway, and we had planned on going to the Krishna temple that day for the color festival, so we decided to go together. We had never been before, and had no idea what to expect. When we pulled in to Spanish Fork, people were having to park miles away from the temple, and the ones coming back were covered in paint. It was a little more than Pam bargained for, and she went on to Vegas. I felt bad that we didn't get to say goodbye.
We found a good parking spot only half a mile or so from the temple, and walked in. It was really cool. Harvey DID NOT like to get color on his clothes, so Jed and I gave our very best glares to everyone who dared make eye contact with us, and we managed to keep pretty clean. (Party poopers, I know. ) As soon as Harvey saw the temple, he started asking if we could see an elephant. I don't know why he thought there would be an elephant there, except for maybe he's seen Aladdin one too many times. We did get to see some Llamas and weird minature bulls with camel humps. I wanted to go into the upstairs part of the temple and have a look around, but you have to take your shoes off when you enter. There was a pile of shoes a mile high at the door, and they were all completely caked in paint. I had no idea how anybody would be able to recognize/find their own shoes when they came out. In the end, we decided to just go back downstairs and buy the boys a yogurt smoothie. Jed had something that smelled very...authentic. I passed.

looks fun!
It was fun to see you all. Caleb sure liked being with the boys! I loved how they both gave us big hugs. Your doing great! Caleb didn't want to get colored, because we wouldn't have any place to clean up.
But had a great visit with you and the rest of our family.
Take care. Thanks for the pics. Knew the boys would love the bugs!
