Happy Birthday Harvey!

This morning I got up early so I could make Harvey his favorite cookies. When Harvey woke up, we put a trick candle (not because we wanted to trick him, but because he loves blowing out candles, so we thought he could blow these out more than once) in four cookies, and carried them down the hall to his bedroom while we sang happy birthday. It proved to be just too overwhelming for him, and he started bawling. Later, around lunch time, we did it again and this time he liked it.

His birthday party will be on Monday, when his cousins are in town. Today we are going to take him to the "shadobow" museum and have cake for dinner. Enjoy these pictures of Harvey with his birthday presents, a "big, big, big, big, big shadobow" and a hoppity hop. (He has been asking for that shadobow for months now, and actually as of this week he is starting to call them dinosaurs. It's sad, but I take comfort in the fact that Grey still calls them "shappys." )
