We are doing a lot of back to school prep around here today. (Except it's not really "back" to school, since we've never had a school kid before. )
Harvey has been going potty on the toilet all day today. (We are having a potty party. Fun times.) I have filled out the school-bus transportation papers. ( Makes me a little sad.) And Harvey is all registered in the noon to three o'clock session of preschool. (I didn't get to choose the time.)
I have been sorting through all the fall/winter clothes. Harvey has so many new-looking hand-me-downs, that I don't think I am going to have to buy any new clothes. In fact, His drawers and my storage room are so full, I don't know where I would put any more clothes right now. But I am going to buy one really cool backpack.
Grey has even more hand-me-downs than Harvey, because he gets all of cousin Tagg's and Harvey's and all the hand-me-downs Harvey gets will be his.
What I am trying to say is, sorting all those clothes was a huge project today. Not that I'm complaining, because we love hand-me-downs.
Now we are off to the store for a backpack and some pull-ups and little boy undies.
September 1 is the big day. This is all happening a lot faster than I ever bargained for.

Ethan starts transitional Prek on the 2nd of Sept...I hear you. But...for Ethan (and I think for Harvey) it's for the best. Ethan won't be riding the bus though! How big-kid! Oh my!
Yay for hand-me-downs. We get NONE. Hence all their clothes being from ON! Ha! :)
It does happen so fast. How did you get to be a mother with s pre-K child already, and when did i get 5 grandchildren and an almost empty house.
And it is all just starting and rapidly going by for you now. Enjoy it all.
The good news is, I think there is an aide for every two kids on the bus, and booster seats with strap down seat belts. So not quite as big-kid as it sounds.
