Update

It's been two whole weeks since I posted, I guess. I'm not even sure what's been keeping me so busy.

Jed has had a frighteningly slow time at work for the past few weeks. We're keeping our fingers crossed that once the kids go back to school business will pick up. He was offered a job at Dalton Memorial, but turned it down. I'm glad he did. It looks like things will pick up a bit this week.

Harve.y seems to have realized that walking might not be as bad as he originally thought, and he is toddling around the house a little. He climbs into the tub and whines when he wants to play in the bath, and sits by the front door and whines when he wants to go for a walk. He climbs on top of his dresser, out of his crib, onto the table, and on top of the piano. I caught him trying to climb the bookshelf a few days ago. Luckily we have it bracketed to the wall. He has invented a new game where he climbs on top of my hope chest and jumps down onto the pile of pillows that invariably end up on the floor before I make the bed. (Haha, like I make the bed. Who has time for that?)
Me, I've been at home. It's been miserably hot lately. All I need is a good fishing trip and a weekend trip to Tuachan, and I'll be ready for fall. I've been keeping busy with the L.eague of Ut.ah Writers, and am going to a conference in September. I sent a chapter of my book into a contest, and recieved a letter back telling me that I had missed the contest deadline, but that he would like to send it on to an agent who could help me. Sadly, it's not nearly done yet, so I think it would be wiser to wait. I'll probably kick myself for refusing when I am done and can't get anybody to read it, much less like it.
Yesterday we went up the canyon to watch my brother come in from his marathon. My Grandparents came down today so my Grandpa could give my little brother his P. Blessing. Tomorrow Jed and I are going down to Hobble Creek and maybe later this week to Cody, Wyoming. I will go explore Yellowstone with Harv.ey while Jed works.

I'm glad Har.vey is able to train you so well to his every want and desire. Climbing into the bath is quite unusual. Make sure you always drain the water or he could go for a dangerous dunk.

I love the pic of Harvey and Katie on the slide. Why wasn't I there?

Mom, You were there. It was at Vivian Park. You were just so worried about Jake you must not have noticed.
